The Dutch Venice Foundation
The Dutch Venice Foundation (Stichting Nederlands Venetië Comité – SNVC) was founded in 1973, in order to raise money and help Venice recover from the 1966 flooding. In 1977, the sister foundation Poorters van Venetië was established. This foundation helps, alongside, the SNVC, to raise funds. The focal point regarding restoring Venice is the San Zaccaria Church, the oldest of Venice.
The Dutch Venice Foundation is among the first international committees founded after the 1966 flood. Over the years, we have realized a series of significant conservation and restoration projects in Venice. We are determined to continue this policy in the future, and to do so within the framework of the Associazione, which is essential for our work.
